Batch Project.

My last brief has definitely been my favourite brief as it has allowed me to go back to my roots of fashion. I really enjoy drawing out obscure figures with the exaggerated legs and neck and adding simple detail to the clothing.

I decided to make a 'Paper Doll' but out of wood, so kind of a Wood Doll? The reason I chose wood was because it has a beautiful texture that you can varnish or sand paper to manipulate the appearance easily. Another was to keep my model accessible to everyone and not discriminating by using different ethnicities.

I got my friend to model for me as she is 'real' girl which can give a healthy body image to the younger audience. I used my favourite media on this and screen printed her onto the wood.

I decided to draw out high end brands like Chanel, McQueen, Parda etc. which I loved doing as these high end brands have distinctive detail to make you thing 'Ahh, thats Dolce and Gabbana'

The final designers I chose were: Chanel, Dolce and Gabbana, Prada and Vivienne Westwood. I also made an Alexander McQueen page for when people buy the doll they can then buy a sheet of clothing that they can print off.

Here is my outcome!!

Awkward Printer.

For my 'Walking in my Mind' project, I decided to create a screen print using an illustration I drew called 'Awkward Sleeper'

(only a rough copy. I had to hand in the original illustration/ drawing)

The process I used to create this screen print was by transferring my image onto a screen by using a light thing (I can't remember the name). After I had to get a squeegee and paint and had to firmly scrape the paint over the screen to create a crisp outline. (sorry for the lack of knowledge)

One eyed beauty

So I started drawing a random lady and it started out really well...

I then got scared and didn't draw the other eye...

I finally got to the end and attempted to draw the eye 4 times and could not match it up. She shall forever be a one eyed beauty.

One Idea From Another.

For my new brief I have been drawing dreams that  have had in the past and started drawing out these little cute characters. Where I have based them around myself I would love to develop and explore with them into something bigger and better. I feel that they would be great to be little fashion illustrations.

These Images are only rough drawings and are not finished!

I think I'm inlove

The other day I went to riverisland and found the most beautiful skirt, last one in my size, £12, Bergen.

The best thing about pencil skirts are they look good on everyone, any size, any shape. They cover up all the bits and bobs that you don't like.
I recommend buying one or a couple.
You can't go wrong.
They are great for any situation; casual, safisticated, smart.

Out of Space

My boyfriend brought me a pair of leggings just under a year ago and they have been life savers.
They are the type of leggings that keep you cool in the summer and lock in all the warmth in the winter. What makes them even better, they are comet print.
They go with quite a lot of my clothing, they don't show off all the unwanted lumps and bumps and they can be warn anywhere.
I would recommend buying a good quality pair of leggings for all year round.

I think in this case you are paying for quality and comfort.

Halloween's Eves Eves Eves

In my 'ends' the place to go is Southend for the night life. As Halloween is just round the corner Monday mayhem made me join in... My attempt of joining in failed when I brought a dress earlier that day. So clearly the think to do was throw some cat ears on and waste my eyeliner drawing on whiskers and a little black nose.

Copout outfit, I know, but can you really buy this dress and not wear it out? I think not.

A Strong Winters Beeeze

After this crazy weather we have been having I think it is about time we all dig out our wooly jumpers, snuggle up in our duvets in front of the fire place with a nice cup of hot chocolate and really embrace the cold weather.
